Waiting for Claymore every month (which is wayyy too long :() and catching up on D.gray-man at the moment, other than that I've only read a few chapters of Berserk :P
I'm totally open for recommendations (anything like D.gray-man or other 'dark' themed ones would be great) ^_^

Also reading Berserk and Claymore (which isn't really that long tbh)
You should definitely keep reading Berserk. It's just so chuck full of epic manliness.
Also if you're looking for recommendations, I suggest Hellsing. Another classic seinen piece.

I haven't read many manga; the only two I've read in their entirety are Rurouni Kenshin and Love Hina ( >.< ). I am currently reading Bleach and Soul Eater - and I read about 100 chapters of Psyren before dropping it.

Akira, Battle Angel, and Ghost in the Shell are the only manga i've read, and actually finished. i just can't get into manga for some reason, but i'm an avid reader of western comic books.

I would read manga if I could get the hard copies. I don't like reading stuff from screens much. Yeah I'm old school lol

Fair enough, I suppose :(

I also read a lot of western comics, but I find manga equally good.
And I know what you mean about the physical copies; that's how I read them :3

The only manga I'm really following are Bleach, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, and Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force.

For western comics, I haven't been getting new ones in a while. I'm way far behind on my Witchblade, Gen13, Wildcats, and a bunch of others. I don't follow much of the mainstream Marvel or DC stuff for the most part, but I did drop some dimes on the events like Annihilation. Nova for the win.

but the subs are so much better than the dubs, and the off voice cant match to character personality type voice

It's all relative. I personally can't detect emotional nuances when listening to Japanese. (For anime; I can get a good feel listening to a live-action film, mostly because I can see an actor's facial expression).

And with very few exceptions I find the dubs match their characters.

Exactly that. So I'm not a weirdo after all.

Oh yes you are, just not when it's concerning dubs.
