Hey Stab i tried on doom9 too, no luck there either. seems like madVR don't like my old machine [intel (DG31PR) board must be at fault] .

Did you ask Madshi directly? He's really active in his development thread.

Intel GMA X3100... Don't bother trying to use madVR with that. It's too slow. You will have to stick with EVR for smooth playback. If not EVR, then Haali's renderer (output RGB32 for best results with Haali's renderer).

Also, I would not recommend you use MPC-HC's internal subtitle renderer with that GPU because you might get stuttering.

Be careful with anime talk on doom9 because of their rule 6 to do with downloaded content/videos.

I forget people have really old chip-sets.

/snobbish laugh

namaiki is right though. If you are not getting smooth playback with the current set-up, it looks like it could be your hardware there, and you will need to take a different approach.

Using EVR custom with no prob but its a shame that i cant utilize benefit of madVR.

madVR used to work with my GTX650 but then i sold it now once again on EVR.

It does use MadVR so basically the same!

For those who do not know it is a pack containing MPC-HC, madVR, LAVFilters and xy-VSFilter. I found it much easier to install KCP than all the previously mentioned manually! Makes little difference really, just time and ease!

not me, just plain k-lite for me. i dont see much of a point in all this stuff when one has a CPU that could run 11 1080p hi10p videos (my recent princess mononoke) at onces without a frame dropped. though after 12 they did start dropping frames but my CPU still only 60-80% used, probably my hard drive limiting me here.

This is really an old thread, not a comparison anymore... More like "who the hell cares", CCCP, K-lite, Kawaii codec pack, MadVR, Lolis codec pack, Pantsu codec pack are all good, use whatever fits your fancy or fetishes.

Personally I'm just rocking with MPC-HC, MadVR, xy-VSFilter and FFDShow Audio filters.

Oh, derp. Well, I don't use the pack per se, but I do use all/most of its constituents -- manually installed, of course.
