Be cool if we could edit comments, it annoying to have to delete a comment just to fix a mistake.

I'm not talking about normal posts, I'm talking about comments on the home page to the top right (Recent Status Updates section).

well i do not know if that is possible due to how it work but you could always copy your post you wanna edit, delete the old one, and then paste old comment into reply box and edit as needed.

but this is a good idea, i'll pass it along to the coders and see what they think.

Adding edit boxes there is no simple task. Needs JavaScript and AJAX expertise. I'm not good at those. All we can do is request IPB to add it in a future update.

I see that the character limit has been added to comments now, surely that's harder to code then adding a edit button?

Heres where I think the edit button should go:

So pretty much move the date closer to the name, then have delete, then have edit (or edit then delete).

but see that is where you are wrong. it is harder due to complexity of the code required for editing. that simple counter you see is a simple hmtl counter.

Perhaps have a look how ipb does it for forum posts? Then just jimmy it to fit your needs.
